Some Issues about Traffic Network Planning of Urban Rapid Mass Transit

Based on intensive research on several instances of traffic network planning of urban rapid mass transit domestic and overseas, this paper presents the impact, state of art situation and problems to be solved when planning the traffic network of urban rapid mass transit in China. Several ideas are further discussed, such as planning model, characteristic of traffic network, feasible traffic network scale, locating the accumulating and dispersing node of passenger flow, and planning land usage control. And some problems to be studied in the further are brought about as well.
