Abstract

Abstract

An independent wheelset has such characteristics, well hunting stability, less wear, low yawp, light weight and easy operation equipped with full low floor, compared with the traditional wheelsets.Independent wheelsets have been widely used in light rail vehicles in recent years. A brief introduction to the development of the light rail vehicles at present and the traits of independent wheelset are given, and the application and development of independent wheelsets on the light rail vehicles are emphatically discussed.
