Survey and Analysis on Transit Speed and Overdue Rate in Railway Freight Transportation

Market economy has upper timing demands in railway freight transportation.According to the survey data in 1999, this paper analyzes and evaluates the timing serve level of railway freight transportation in four aspects such as local and through transporting, rate making distance, classes of goods and tariff numbers. It puts forward some measures, which include extending express trains, intensifying transportation organization, strengthening management of operation and expediting the information course, to solve the subsistent problems in order to improve the timing serve level of railway freight transportation.
