  • This paper studied the influence of PAN fiber composite and the imported xylon fiber on stone mastic asphalt(SMA) by performance tests of asphalt mixture. It is pointed that after adding PAN fiber composite the dynamical stability of SMA is markedly increased, the total deformation is markedly reduced, the flexural failure strain in low temperature is increased, and unconfined compressive strength is increased by 30%. What is more, whether the percentage of PAN fiber composite is 0.2% or 0.3%, the performance of SMA is stable. The results show that PAN fiber composite has better road performance.
