  • 3-D non-linear eddy current fields with ferromagnetic moving conductors was studied, the formulation was realized by using the A-Φ-A method in combination with the Coulomb gauge, and 1/8 finite element model was built. The resulting braking torques of procedure of eddy current retarder were compared to measurements. The results show that calculation value and test value are almost equal, the model and computation method are feasible.
