    Abstract
  • Based on the analysis of urban road network's quantity and quality, this paper discussed the urban road network planning indices system, put forward that urban road network planning indices system should be divided into two parts, space indices system and traffic quality indices system. Seven space indices and three traffic quality indices were presented, and the definition and quantizing method of each index were put forward. Applied results indicate that the data to quantize the indices can be gained very easy during urban road network planning process, and can be defined under the different characteristics of different cities.
