Logistics enterprise classifying model

  • Aimed at the disorder of logistics markets and the essentiality of the classifying management for logistics enterprises, a characteristic indices system of logistics enterprise classifying was proposed by concluding and analyzing some logistics enterprise samples, and a classifying neural network model of logistics enterprises was founded based on Kohonen' SOM neural network. In the model, the logistics enterprises were divided into six groups, including transportation type, warehouse type, distribution type, agent type, express type and integration type, their characteristics were summarized. Using the model, five logistics enterprises are classified effectively, the classifying result is right, it accords with the real classifying object, the model is feasible.
