  • Fractal dimension of some typical vehicle license characters were calculated in the condition of three zoning to vehicle license. It is found that prolific property of vehicle license can be obtained through wavelet transform, multi-fractal dimension is a good tool to solve the problem that threshold is hard to decide when too close between some characters using single fractal dimension. Simulation results show that the method is feasible to recognize vehicle license characters.
