  • Based on the analysis of existing planning and implementation method of multimode on transportation trunk in China, the deficiency of planning concept, object, function and connection was reviewed. According to the characteristics of economy and function of transportation trunk, the improved planning and implementation method for multimode transportation trunk were studied using the systems analysis. The improved method involving the location theory, function analysis, mode superiority analysis, had the ability of covering the existing planning and implementation method and remedying its deficiency. The analysis indicates that the improved method is feasible for planners to implement the coordinative multimode planning, which contains alignment correction, function-oriented planning method, junction planning method and evaluation method in the stage of layout planning.
