  • In order to rebuild the theory system of transport economics, the essence of transportation behavior was analyzed by using basic motive mechanism in economics. It is pointed that the essence of transportation behavior is to realize resource-optimized collocation according to the move of people or goods, it has five kinds of characteristics including interaction property, relativity, main body character, subjectivity and aggregation property. Analysis result shows that the accurate understanding of transportation behavior essence and its characteristics benefits to understand the mainline of transportation economics theory, proofread transportation demand and its relative property cognition, and establish transportation distribution theory and transportation forecast theory system.
