Abstract: New structural scheme is introduced and design method is presented for a new rubber bumper of the railway freight car with 1 m wide trucks. The bumper is only made up of two exchangeable units, the butt plate rubber unit and the partition plate rubber unit.In addition, a zero initial press force is employed. These make the bumper holds advantages of light in weight, lowest in impact force and good in bumping effect. It is easy to be assembled and disassembled, good in exchangeability, lower in cost of manufacturing and maintaining and higher efficient in use of the bumper volume. The structural scheme provides also a capacity of developing the rubber bumpers used for high speed, sub high speed and heavy railway cars. The design method has been effectively applied to the development of present rubber bumpers.More>

Defer effects of crack propagation of bogie
ZHANG Li-min, MEI Gui-ming
Abstract: With the enhancement of the speed and the load capacity of rail vehicles, the running conditions of bogie frame and the main supporting parts of rail vehicle become worse. In order to reduce the interaction force between rail and wheel, the weight of the frame has to be optimized. Thus the fatigue strength of the bogie is of concern. The fatigue experimental results of a high speed train show that the crack propagation of the frame slow down under the cyclic loads. The concept of relaxation of residual stress under cyclic loads and open and close of crack are utilized to analyze the effects of crack propagation. The analysis shows that the main reason of the crack propagation slow down of the frame is the relaxation of the residual stress under the cyclic loads.Crack close also affects the crack growth greatly. The maximum allowable length of non propagation crack is calculated under the given configuration and cyclic loads.More>

FAN Hou-bin, FAN Zhi-hua, DONG Ming-gang
Abstract: The ventilation of a long highway tunnel is one of the concerns of highway builders. This ventilation process is also the movement of the pollutants in the wind. The latter mainly includes the forms of molecular diffusion, convective movement, turbulent current diffusion and attenuating transformation.By the law of conservation of quality, the diffusion equations of pollutant movement and pollutant turbulence can be followed. These diffusion equations, wind flow equation, boundary conditions and primary conditions contribute to the convection of the mixture of pollutants and air, the equation of diffusive mathematics mechanics. Finally, the one dimensional theory under the regularly given conditions is analyzed and the practical example is calculated, the results show that the simulating calculation of the pollutant movement in the wind in a long highway tunnel only needs the consideration of convection movement and turbulent current diffusion.More>

Abstract: According to some sample enterprise's real business operation level, which are selected in Shanghai's different transport industries in a certain period, a complete and tight assessment system is proposed, so that to indicate the condition of transportation system operation flexibly. Based on the construction of corresponding standard model of assessment, the sample standard deviation between the standard operation index and the sample enterprise real index value is deeply analyzed. Then the integrated deviation coefficient is deduced, upon which a formula and example of the transportation system operation's assessment index is proposed.More>

Petri net simulation algorithm of maximum flow in transportation network
SUN Tong-jiang, HUANG Sheng-guo
Abstract: With the development of the research about comprehensive traffic system and intelligent traffic system, the technical problem of transportation requirement analysis and network analysis is supposed to be resolved firstly. Petri net theory can be used to solve the maximum flow problem in the ransportation network.Petri net and Petri net model of directional network are first introduced, then, a more applied method of seeking the maximum flow is given out. With the use of Petri net simulator, nondirectional transportation network is converted into a directional network, and its dual graph, denoted by DG, is converted into its Petri net model, then automatically get the maximum flow of the transportation network by seeking the DG's shortest path, i.e. the G's minimum cut capacity. This visual and intuitionistic method is more convenient and faster than the existing methods.More>
