Influence of aircraft deicer on apron cement concrete
ZHAO Hong-duo, YAO Zu-kang, ZHANG Zhang-an, LIU Chun-chen
Abstract: In order to explore the cause and mechanism of apron cement concrete scaling, deicer component analysis, concrete specimen deicer soaking test and phase analyzing were carried out. It is found that there is no chemical reaction between deicer and cement concrete, water pressure, penetration pressure and vapor pressure variation are increased in concrete after deicer infiltration. The results show that scaling is caused by the freeze thawing cycle, infiltration of deicer deteriorates scaling. The scaling preventive treatments, such as reducing the volume of deicer, limiting its application area and contact time to concrete, and freeze proof ability of concrete could be considered.More>

Matter-elements-analysis method of comprehensive evaluation for pavement condition
WANG Hui-yong, CHEN Yu-liang, RUI Yong-qin
Abstract: There are more subjective factors and their weights can not been accurately decided in current evaluation model for pavement condition. A new evaluation system based on matter-elements-analysis was developed. In this system, the evaluation indices, such as pavement condition, pavement strength, anti-slippery, were constructed, and their characteristic values were calculated to reveal their synthetic relation degrees. According to those values and degrees, the pavement condition can be evaluated accurately. Applied results show that this method is scientific and reliable.More>

Pavement stress analysis of orthotropic steel deck
QIAN Zhen-dong, LUO Jian
Abstract: Aiming at the common damage of steel bridge deck pavement, such as cracking, pushing and local packing and so on, the impacts of pavement on orthotropic steel deck such as maximum tensile stress, maximum shear stress and maximum deflection under the action of vertical and horizontal load were analyzed using finite element method, and the different mechanical results of pavement under the single-wheel load and under double-wheel load were compared. Analysis results show that the horizontal load has great effects on shear stress of pavement, especially longitudinal shear stress. When chosing the maximum tensile stress of pavement as design control index, the simulation results of single-type load are larger than those of double-type load. When chosing the maximum shear stress of bond coat as design control index, the simulation results of double-type load are larger than those of single-type load.More>

Loess subgrade strength law
JING Hong-jun, ZHANG Bin
Abstract: The saturability and infiltration coefficient caused by infiltration water were analyzed by indoor experiments, and the variation law of its shear strength in accompany with compaction degree and water content was studied. The experiment results indicate that compacted fill still has collapsibility, water content influences the basic properties of compacted loess fill seriously, such as saturability, permeability coefficient and compressibility, etc. When water content increases, its saturability and compressibility remarkably decrease, but the permeability coefficient has a crest value near the optimum water content, and its shear strength and water content have non-linear relationship, it and compaction degree have linear growth relationship. The research results show that strict controlling water content of compacted fill and enhancing the compacted degree standard of loess subgrade can enhance loess subgrade massive character.More>

JIANG Shu-xia, FU Qin-yi, WEN Zhen-hua
Abstract: Track irregularity and its static power spectrum density were decomposed into different frequency-bands with wavelet transform. Combined with processing skill of wavelet threshold value, high-frequency coefficients of wavelet were quantified, then data were reconstructed, and some interferons and noises in certain frequency-band were removed, which realized denoise and smoothing of power spectrum density. The results indicate that data processing approach based on wavelet transform can increase noise-signal ration of track static parameters, and improve visibility of track static power spectrum density.More>

GAO Guang-jun, TIAN Hong-qi, ZHANG Jian
Abstract: Using numerical computation of fluid flow, the coefficients of vertical force, lateral force and rolling moment caused by cross-wind were calculated, which were related to train speed and wind speed. The equation of train stability was derived with the theory of moment balance from the view of dynamics, and the relation between the train's critical speed of different loading conditions and wind speeds was calculated based on the real running. The effects of vertical force, lateral force and rolling moment on the capsize stability were also analysed. The results show that the vertical force is main factor caused by cross-wind, the critical wind speed of empty car is lower than the speed of loading car, and the critical train speed of loading car is lower than that of empty car.More>
